Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the EdgePilot trading journal web application (the "Service"), operated from the Netherlands. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

EdgePilot is a journaling and record-keeping tool for traders. It lets you log trades, keep notes, and view statistics and reports based on the data you enter. The Service helps you organise and review your own trading activity.

2. Not financial advice

EdgePilot is a record-keeping tool only. It does not provide financial, investment, tax or trading advice, and nothing in the Service is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any financial instrument. Any statistics, scores or automated responses (including the Personal Assistant) are informational, are based on the data you enter, and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Trading involves substantial risk of loss. You are solely responsible for your own trading decisions, and EdgePilot gives no guarantee of any result or performance.

3. Eligibility and your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity under your account.
  • You must provide accurate information and notify us of any unauthorised use of your account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you will not:

  • attempt to access data or accounts that are not yours;
  • disrupt, overload or attempt to break the security of the Service;
  • use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to store unlawful content;
  • reverse engineer or copy the Service except as permitted by law.

5. Plans and payment

The Service may be offered on free and paid plans. When paid subscription plans are introduced, the applicable prices, billing cycle, renewal and cancellation terms will be presented to you before you subscribe and will form part of these Terms. Until then, the Service is provided free of charge and may change as we continue to develop it.

6. Your content

You keep all rights to the data you enter into EdgePilot. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store, process and display your data in order to provide the Service to you. You can export your data or delete your account at any time from Settings → Account.

7. Availability

We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but we provide it "as is" and cannot guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may update, change or temporarily suspend parts of the Service, and we recommend keeping your own backups by exporting your data periodically.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, EdgePilot is not liable for any trading losses or for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Dutch law.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms or use the Service unlawfully. On termination, the rights granted to you under these Terms end.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes will be subject to the competent courts of the Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
